This much younger happy face matches my general feelings about turning 37 today. If my birthday celebration last night was any indication of how this year will go, it feels like it will be a good one. Best pasta dinner EVER with my favorite people and a fancy hotel night in the city- preceded by a commute into the city that involved meeting a dog named GRAVY on the subway (swipe right to see her!) who stole our hearts. Also, fellow #type1diabetes friends you will appreciate this: I haven’t eaten pasta in three years since my diagnosis but I ate some pasta and some dessert and some bread and a bite of my old favorite whoopie pie from Vinnie’s and I NAILED my bolusing. No super highs and no super lows. That was a birthday gift on its own. #37 ♥️
