This week’s news has been full of sadness. In moments like these I find it difficult to connect with and talk about work, because it doesn’t feel as needed as the discussions taking place in the world right now about mental health and how we can better support each other and our communities in these times. I’m so grateful to have seen so much openness, honesty, and nuance online in the past week. It has reminded me again and again to prioritize and be thankful for life and people who are sources of love and support. People online have been sharing their personal stories and honest and often complicated thoughts on how we can all talk about and support ourselves and others in ways that are informed, compassionate and less triggering. This is the dialogue that brings us together as a community and this week I’ve just been listening, trying to better understand, and learn.
