Dozens of people have been killed from the eruption of the Volcan del Fuego, disaster officials in Guatemala announced on June 4. As of late Monday, the death toll from Sunday's eruption stood at 65 and was expected to climb. Few of the bodies have yet been identified because the intense heat left them unrecognizable. More than 3,200 people were evacuated from the areas near the volcano, and some 2,000 people were in shelters.
