Photo @Keith Ladzinski / An arching bolt of #lightning striking out of a #mesocyclone in rural Oklahoma. This gnarly beast was spinning savagely, sucking up dirt, debris and anything else it could in its path. The #lightning here was just a lucky grab, shot out of a high speed car as we blazed down a dirt road in an effort to flank the storm. This storm in particular never evolved into a full blown tornado however another nearby did. The green color near the center is most likely hail, a very common color and indicator in #supercells.
