A lone #windmill sits under a dark #mesocyclone- the base of a rotating draft of storm cloud. This is the epicenter of a rotating #supercell and where tornados are formed. If you swipe there is a time lapse to give you a clearer idea of what this swirling looks like. Shooting this photo was just another one of those frantic jump out of the car and go moments, fighting super high winds, dodging intermittent hail and staying just long enough to crack off a handful of frames before retreating back to the car and continuing the chase! @krystlejwright @nampix @skiparmstrong @tobypike
