Artisanal evaporation ponds in Senegal, where the dry season offers a chance to harvest sea salt from shallow pits dug into the mud flats near the coast. It looked like nothing when we drove by in the car. But I noticed an odd pattern on the satellite overlay of the map on my phone, and decided to take a peek with my flying camera. If you look carefully in the lower left, you can see a lady carrying a bucket-load of sea salt on her head. Africa is like that… a place where 90% of photography is showing up!
