Born #onthisday in 1844, native Pennsylvanian #MaryCassatt is perhaps the most well-known female artist of the #Impressionist movement. After studying at PAFA with #ThomasEakins, Cassatt left Philadelphia to move to Paris. There, she befriended the likes of #EdgarDegas and other famous Impressionists.
