A large tiger shark swims through the open, blue waters of the Indian Ocean off the coast of South Africa. Tiger sharks are one of the more adaptable shark species, able to move easily from open ocean to denser, urban oceanic environments. Despite our knowledge of these creatures, much of their lives remains a mystery and researchers are only just beginning to fill in the missing pieces of the puzzle.
