In honor of #MothersDay, we’re screening two powerful documentaries on motherhood. The afternoon starts with Diálogo con mi Abuela (Gloria Rolando, 2015, 40 min.), a familial portrait on the contributions of Afro-Cuban women, and concludes with Las Madres de la Plaza de Mayo (Susana Blaustein Muñoz and Lourdes Portillo, 1985, 64 min.), which tells the story of the activist mothers who challenged the Argentine regime in the ‘70s and ‘80s.
