Robert Mapplethorpe was a revolutionary artist in 20th century. He created art which challenged the idea of beauty and changed our awareness of sexual representation in art, what is art and what is porno.

His creativity and expression are over the top of border. He captures the shadow, physical and natural beauty in living creatures with perfect composition and beauty. That makes us feel tighten and straighten our back up.
He finds sluttish in the flowers which are often captured as a subject everyday. On the other hand, he takes heterogeneous things and turn it into classical images. Order and balance. And elegance.
The border line between art and porno has been established by these type of artists in the world.
And we all need to respect the sense of Beaty you can see inside of them and I think art itself is supposed to be very opened for everything. .

20世紀を代表する写真家、そして何がアートで何がポルノなのか、その美の基準を多くの人へ提議し性に対する意識の変革を行ったともいえるアーティスト、ロバートメイプルソープ。彼の境界線を越えた表現は生きとし生けるものが持つ陰影と肉体美、自然美を完璧な構図と美しさで捉え見る者を引き締まる様な気持ちにさせる。

日常的に被写体とされることの多い花を新たな視点で淫靡にとらえ、異質といわれるものを古典的に写す、秩序とバランス、趣き。
