I’ve never actually openly talked about it, but when my mom passed away in 2014 I was a total mess. Going into a depression which I never wanted to admit, which eventually lasted 2+ years. Making it hard for the people around me but most of all for myself. It worked against me in everything I did. I didn’t see my purpose of living anymore, I mean If she wasn’t here who do I do everything for then? Eventually realizing that I’ve never truly done something for me gave me the light and vision to slowly start to change that. It’s still hard until this day, but now I see that I can lose myself in the people I love and at the same time it will be where I find myself too. Until this day I’m still struggling with it, but I’m building my way up to a better mindset and purpose of living.
