At the main Fiera we are presenting a new collection of vases designed for the amazing ceramic company @bitossi_ceramiche. “Clay” is exploring the raw expressive qualities of ceramic. The vases are turned on wheel and later ripped of the top. The brutal action exposes the materic edges and the earth-like qualities of clay.
The bowls are instead produced by violently pushing a chunk of clay in an industrial press. The process generates cracks and imperfections on the edges of the piece.

More then designing the pieces we are here searching for intuitive production processes to let the material free to perform. In addition to more traditional glossy finishings, three additional glazes have been specifically developed for the pieces and have a rubber-like tactility that evokes industrial finishings.
