Meet you at the Neck on #BrunyIsland - the view's pretty incredible! This skinny stretch of land is known as an isthmus, and it connects north and south Bruny Islands in @tasmania. Access to Bruny Island is by passenger-vehicle ferry from Kettering, which is around 40 minutes' drive from @hobartandbeyond. The Neck not only offers sweeping views; it's also home to a resident population of fairy penguins and short-tailed shearwaters that can be seen returning to shore at dusk.
