"Look out, my fishy friends - whale shark coming through!" - @jesshaddenphoto came face to face with this whale shark in #CoralBay recently; now there's a sight you don't see every day! These fish are likely hanging around for protection, not being sized up for dinner - whale sharks are filter feeders, so they generally go for snack-sized critters like plankton, krill, crab larvae and fish eggs. It's currently whale shark season in @australiascoralcoast; there have been loads of sightings so far and the season runs until the end of winter.
