The Bajau spear-fishermen are famed for their free-diving skills. Many can dive down to 40 metres underwater and hold their breath for up to five minutes at a time while they hunt for fish. To capture this image @tommy.trenchard had to learn how to free-dive on a trip to Sulawesi, Indonesia as the local dive school had run out of oxygen. Although it was a challenge, Tommy explains that it gave him even more of an appreciation for the incredible skills of the Bajau.
