Published on the occasion of Jenny Saville’s upcoming exhibition at the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art, Edinburgh, this catalogue includes stunning reproductions of the seventeen works included in the show alongside intimate views of the artist’s studio. Spanning twenty-five years of her career, the exhibition features work dating from her groundbreaking 1992 thesis show at The Glasgow School of Art through her most recent paintings, and marks her first museum exhibition in Scotland. A new essay by curator Lucy Askew explores Saville’s formative years in Glasgow and their impact on her subsequent work.
