今日は、朝の生放送の後に取材のオンパレードだから、一番自分らしくいられるスタイルで。仕立てたミディアムグレーのスーツに白いシャツ、黒の7cm幅のネクタイ、そしてキャメルのポロコート。手にはクラシックな黒縁メガネ、腕には愛用の機械式腕時計、右の指には自分のイニシャルが入ったシグネットリング。イギリス、イタリア、スイス、フランス、アメリカ、日本……。着ている国もブランドも、全部バラバラだけど、すべて僕が長年かけて吟味して集め、愛用しているものばかり。言わば「HOSHIBA'S BASIC STYLE」であり、僕が目指す「究極の普通のスタイル」。毎日、あれこれ変えるのがファッションだと思ってた時期もあったけど、自分らしくいられるスタイルを持つようになったら、今は変えることより、ブレずに変えないことの方が良いと思うようになりました。多くの粗悪な物より、少しの良いものを。移り変わる流行より、普遍的で美しいスタイルを。やっぱりこの考え方が好き。勝負下着ならぬ、勝負スタイルとでも言えるのかな？ そういえば「今日は勝負下着なの……♡」なんて言う女性がいるけど、勝負なんていつ来るかわからないんだから、毎日勝負下着の方が良いと思う今日この頃。あれ？ 何の話しをしてたんでしたっけ？（笑）
