フィラデルフィア美術館のインスタグラム(philamuseum) - 2月23日 03時38分

In preparation for this week’s Final Fridays event, @KingBritt tapped composers @Suphala, Jeremy Toussaint-Baptiste, & @XeniaRubinos to complete three day in-gallery residencies at the Museum. They set up near their favorite works of art in our collection and created new music inspired by that art. Don’t miss your chance to experience their work in a new audio tour and as a live performance in the Great Stair Hall at next week’s event. Tickets are limited.

King Britt was in residence in gallery 175, composing in response to “Seine” (1951) by Ellsworth Kelly. Suphala spent three days in gallery 224, amidst the “Pillared Temple Hall” (c. 1550), which made in India. JeremyToussaint-Baptiste(tag) set up in gallery 155 and responded to ”Study of Three Heads” (1870) by Henri Regnault. Xenia Rubinos worked in Kaiserman Gallery 168 with a view of “Little Painting with Yellow (Improvisation)” (1914) by Vasily Kandinsky.
