@africanparksnetwork is moving lions to Malawi with @lionrecovery to expand and protect the species for future generations! African lions may number as few as 20 000 individuals in the wild and translocations like the one happening in a few weeks are key to expanding the lions range.
African lions are threatened by poaching, habitat loss and poorly regulated trophy hunting across much of Africa. Through range expansion and anti poaching efforts @africanparksnetwork is helping lions and other species in 13 national parks across 9 countries in Africa.
