You know that mean girls quote - you can't sit with us.
Yea I hate that one. I was teased in junior high for being poor, being too skinny and being a "slut". I had two guy friends who lived on my "poor" street and because the girls were mean to me every damn day, I'd hang out with the guys at school. Which in turn granted me the name "slut". Isn't school fun?! I started to realize I was attracted to boys and girls equally around 12/13 which gave them MORE reasons to talk about me. At the time, I cared a lot. I cared that we were poor even though my dad did everything he could to give us the things we wanted. I cared that I wasn't invited to parties or asked to sit with the cool girls or honestly , any of the girls. When we had class projects and I had to work with them, they would make fun of me TO MY FACE. Not even behind my back. And what did I do? Absolutely nothing.
I didn't start to grow a pair until I was homeschooled. When I saw what was really important. Taking care of my siblings while my dad worked two jobs and then taking care of myself and schoolwork on my own. I started acting / modeling and the boys down the street would tell me that rumors were going around school that I was lying about acting and that I would be a loser forever.
How about this .... fast forward to the last few years. Most of those girls have messaged me through Facebook and IG asking to connect and "hang out". Oh how life is funny like that.
Don't let ANYONE make you feel less than. If you think your life is not all that you want it to be, guess what...? You can CHANGE that. I have done / accomplished a lot in my life so far but one thing I have NOT done or will ever do, is be a mean girl.
