It’s hard to take a bad photo in the alps, but a little bit of luck always goes a long way. While doing a story for @National Geographic Travel on backpacking in the #alps, I was lucky enough to catch this unexpected moonrise over the #montblancmassif. I nearly missed it, catching a small glimpse of it as it peaked out. Thankfully I had packed a 150-600mm telephoto lens for wildlife, also great for moon shots!
