‘Whiteread's fascination with transitional spaces was particularly intriguing to me. In this piece, I wanted to explore the architectural and spatial aspects of her work. This led me to look at stairs, doors and windows, which are featured quite prominently in her pieces.’ - Layan Barakat ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
