Today, The Met announced an updated admissions policy, which will be implemented March 1, 2018. Under the updated policy, all New York State residents and New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut students will remain pay-as-you-wish, all children under 12 remain free, and visitors from outside New York State will be required to pay an admissions fee. Met Members will not see any change in Museum privileges as a result of the updated policy. The Met is updating its admissions policy so that it can maintain its current level of excellence and comprehensiveness now and for future generations.
