これは実際に見たい！ オランダの「ライデン国立民族学博物館」に所蔵されていた「シーボルト・コレクション」の中の作者不明の絵画６点が、江戸時代の浮世絵師・葛飾北斎（1760～1849年）の作品だったことが判明したそう。遠近法など西洋絵画の技法で江戸の風景が描がかれています。これは水彩画で赤羽橋付近の雪景色。右側の遠景は芝の増上寺。静謐な雪の描写が気絶するほど美しいですね。
