A baby #WhiteRhino, grazing at sunrise near the protective shadow of mom and dad in the dry African #savanna. It's small little keratin horn is already beginning to develop, a key feature for defense and foraging. Rhino's are living relics, they have been roaming the earth for millions of years, survived ice ages and prehistoric times when predators like giant hyena and crocodile roamed the earth. Through all of this, their biggest threat of extinction in this long history of survival is poaching by man. Let's hope that we can continue to make better decisions when it comes to the senseless rhino horn trade so species like this can continue on.
