Natives of the #Wayuu tribe of northern Colombia performing a ceremonial #CardinalDance in their village, access to which I was gratefully lucky to get through our local guide. Traditional Wayuu music and dance is derived through their cultural history and rooted in their environment, often performed in gatherings during celebration and meetings. This dance here is the courtship of a man and a women, inspired by the resident bright red Cardinal often seen here in the arid Guajira Peninsula of northern Colombia.
