The U.N. General Assembly voted 128-9 with 35 abstentions on Dec. 21 to declare President Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital "null and void." The vote on Thursday—a victory for Palestinians—was significantly lower than its supporters had hoped for, the Associated Press reports, with many forecasting at least 150 “yes” votes. Earlier, the U.S. threatened to cut off funding to countries that opposed the decision. During remarks, U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley said, "America will put our embassy in Jerusalem...
