Most elephants here have been rescued from labor exploitation in logging of nearby jungles and are now looked after by the Elephant Nature Park volunteers and visitors. Among park activities - riding elephants is strictly forbidden, however showering them, feeding them vegetables, scrubbing watermelons and pumpkins for them and cleaning after them is encouraged.
