For the better part of 2 days I tried approaching this spirited stallion, a resident living at pasture near a remote farm house in the #SantaMarta mountains in Colombia. After many failed attempts on my behalf, I watched with astonishment as Jose moved in calmly, kneeling down with a gesture of his hand and whispering indiscernibly. To my surprise the stallion approached gracefully, sniffing Jose and gently pressing his nose to his forehead. I was fortunate enough to snap off a few photos of this beautiful moment.
