#KIEFERRODIN opens this Friday! How do you piece together the works of 2 major artists working 100 years apart? Master sculptor Rodin’s artistic methods resonated with contemporary artist Anselm Kiefer. Rodin kept sculptural fragments (arms, legs, heads) around his studio that he would continually assemble and reassemble to create new works of art. Because Kiefer’s own practice involved constant disassembling and reconfiguring, he found new and urgent relevance in Rodin’s work.
