Today The Earl of Wessex has been in north-east London on a Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (@dofeuk) Tour, visiting three sites to hear how the scheme is making a positive impact in the community.

HRH met a number of award participants and joined them as they took part in activities that will help them face the challenges of DofE. The Earl also heard how the students, who are from some of London’s most deprived boroughs, are being supported through the scheme thanks to the work of the charity.

Founded by The Duke of Edinburgh in 1956, DofE is the world's leading youth achievement award. The Earl of Wessex is a Trustee of the Charity and is Chairman of the Trustees of The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation.
