In the face of an emerging & deadly salamander fungal disease, pet salamanders in the U.S. have received a clean bill of health, according to a new study by our scientists published today in Scientific Reports. The researchers did not find any signs of the fungal disease, Batrachochytrium salamandrivorans (Bsal) on pet salamanders in the country. This means that a rule restricting the international import of 201 salamander species into the U.S. has a chance to help keep our incredible diversity of salamanders safe! #WeSaveSpecies @conservationnation
