This extraordinary man, Lewis MacAdams, founder of Friends of the Los Angeles River, poet, performance artist and river whisperer was honored on Saturday night with a statue and a park named after him in #losangeles Lewis MacAdams Park, right by the banks of the river he has fought for, thirty years and counting. Lewis is a treasure, for all of us who care about water, air and the earth. We made a film about the river, & the work he has done to restore it. Thank you @kcet for showing it and bringing more people "down to the river." And thank you to everyone who has worked with @folarorg to clean the river, to bring back wildlife and to help restore the watershed.
