Masaki a reporter for Japan's most respected news agency, Asahi, flew all the way from Tokyo to interview me about my Winter Olympic goals. After training I took him for breakfast and dropped him off at the Koala Zoo as his 7yr old son wanted to see a picture of him with a Koala. When I drove away he kept shaking my hand, was waving furiously and bowing non stop, I was shocked. Reporters and journalists are human beings. How celebrities treat them bad or " beneath them" I can never understand. It is their job to get an interesting story. It is our job to be be as articulate and well mannered as possible so as to make sure the story is positive and uplifting. And at the same time treating them with the dignity any human being deserves.
