In one of the deadliest mass shootings in American history, a gunman on a high floor of a Las Vegas hotel rained a rapid-fire barrage on an outdoor concert festival last night, killing at least 58 people and injuring more than 500 others. Online video of the attack near the #MandalayBay Resort and Casino showed the singer @ジェイソン・アルディーン’s performance at @route91harvest, a 3-day country music event, being interrupted by the sound of gunfire. The music stopped, and as victims fell bleeding, thousands of other terrified concertgoers in the audience of more than 22,000 fled for cover. The police said that officers found the gunman, Stephen Paddock, 64, dead in his room in the Mandalay Bay Hotel, along with at least 20 rifles. Sheriff Joseph Lombardo described him as a “local resident” and said his motive was unknown. This morning, President @ドナルド・トランプ called for national unity after the shooting, which he described as “an act of pure evil.” He said he would visit #LasVegas on Wednesday.
