HuffPost is hitting the road and letting locals takeover our Instagram. Today, @erinmillerwilliams is showing us around Memphis. #ListenToAmerica ⠀

There is an explosion of visual art happening in Memphis right now and it is AWESOME. I've been lucky enough to contribute 3 murals to the city now, including the one pictured which is just a few blocks over from @stjude. The others are located on the @streetsministries building and the @redzonememphis building in Orange Mound, the 1st neighborhood in America built for African Americans by African Americans at the end of the 19th century. There are some really great old murals to check out in this area as well. Other artists you can see in Memphis are @birdcap who has murals all over town, including one at my favorite local brewery @wiseacrebrewery. Another great artist on the rise is @coolurbanhippie whose letters are sick and you can take them home with you on a tshirt or print. Also go see the painted water tower in the @broadavearts district. You can spend an afternoon in this up-and-comnig area shopping and sipping coffee at my fave spot @cityandstate.
