Photo by @michaelclarkphoto // The Arles Amphitheater, a Roman amphitheater built in 90 A.D., is one of the top tourist destinations in Arles, France. Located in the center of Arles, the ampitheatre once enclosed a good part of the entire city, acting as a fortress. It was inspired by the Colosseum in Rome, which was finished 10 years earlier. While living in the area I used to walk the streets of Arles at night and photograph the amphitheater and many of the other ancient Roman ruins in the city. #arles #arlesamphitheater #france #provence
