This is Luggard. Amazingly he survived being shot twice in the leg ! I met him when he had just arrived at the #DSWT nursery and I was so worried about him! But the constant care of the Keepers and the Sheldrick's helped him pull through. Love him so much!

When Luggard came to us in 2016, he had been shot in the knee and foot — and we weren't sure that he would ever walk again. It's taken lots of specialized care (not to mention stalwart personal determination from the little calf), but a year later, Luggard is back on all four feet!
