"THE FACE: A Search for Clues" at the Deutsches Hygiene-Museum, Dresden, Germany, opens this Saturday, August 19.

We encounter human faces in personal interaction but also on the internet, in the memory of digital cameras and smartphones, in databases of private or state institutions, on posters, cinema walls, and TV screens. This exhibition explores the relationship between the face and society, and whether it is a commodity, a data set, or a central reference point that connects people.
