This scene from ‘The Tale of the Flopsy Bunnies’ shows the bunnies outside the farmhouse’s window, listening to the conversation between the farmer and his wife. Beatrix was inspired by her visits to her aunt and uncle’s garden in Wales. She made studies of the rural garden while she was writing and illustrating this book.
