The Bangladesh Rural Advancement Committee (BRAC) is a NGO which was founded in 1972. It offers a holistic approach towards the empowerment of underprivileged people through legal services and economic, social and cultural development programs as well as health, education and human rights programs. Today, BRAC has over 100,000 employees, mostly women, and more than 110,000,000 beneficiaries in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Uganda, Tanzania and South Sudan.
