Meet one of the Association Corazon del Agua midwifery students that @everymomcounts is supporting. Catalina Regina Guarchaj Mas is one of 15 students here who is just finishing up their second term of their first of a three year program who will go on to become an accredited "partera." We visited some of the students and graduates in Guatemala City earlier today and were as moved by their stories and motivations for applying to this program as we were with the last class. I am so grateful for the opportunity to learn firsthand from these strong, compassionate women and for the platform here to share some of their stories with you. These women are the future of maternal health in their communities. They are the future of this country and represent all of its potential in the female form. #conmadre
