X are celebrating 40 years of laying out the pain, passion and beauty of the communal isolation of being a punk in Los Angeles. They released their debut full length LP "Los Angeles" in 1980 and proved to the world that punk had a dark soul and depth that went beyond the safety pins, bondage gear and loogies of the Sex Pistols. John and Exene's vocal harmony burned into the musical landscape of Americana and expressed a longing to be heard.
Forever a band out of step, ahead of the curve and behind the times. Timeless and perfect.
