Red Kross are playing @burgerrecords4life Boogaloo this weekend in Oakland. Here you can see them in an earlier incarnation as The Tourists playing live at Polliwog Park in Manhattan Beach in 1979 with Keith Morris and Greg Hetson who would later go on to form the Circle Jerks. This week we will be featuring some of our favorite records by bands playing the Boogaloo this weekend. The next picture is the art work from the the '87 re-issue of their 1st EP, originally released in 1980. Coming in at a lean 6 minutes 22 seconds, the 6 six songs blast out of your speakers with a bratty adolescent intensity that will make you wanna steal money from your mom's purse and shoplift beef jerky from the circle k. God bless the McDonald brothers. They went on to be 2 of the most exploratory psychedelic pop shamans, but it all started here. Fast snotty blown out punk.
