Can you believe summer is finally here? I live in a country with long and cold winters, so we know how to appreciate summer.

You can imagine the first warm weekend of the year: each and every person crawls out into the sunlight, dusty, blinded, startled by the sounds and the brightness, consoled by the balmy air and the smell of flowers. We are all pleased the temperature is comfortable, but it's more than that. There's something intoxicating about our swift green summers. There's music in the air, I swear. Everyone, from a newborn baby to the most bitter old man feels it.
