Standing in front of the hotel I used to live in in 1981 when I made the album "you want it you got it" aka "bryan adams hasn't heard of you either". My room was a single bed and a sink, and I shared the loo down the hall. My little window looked onto the water towers behind the hotel, and I'll always be grateful to the guy at the front desk back then, for giving an unknown smelly musician a room for such a cheap price. Those were funky times with less than zero in my pocket, but at the end of each day, I looked forward to the starched linen on my bed.
