夏の風物詩、蛍。「ほたる」という言葉の語源は、「火垂れる」に由来しているという説があるそう。暗闇の中で微かに光る蛍の灯火を和菓子で表現してみました。

Today's Wagashi : Light of Firefly

In the beginning of summer, we can enjoy magical lights punctuating with the twinkle of fireflies. This Japanese confectionary depicts the soft lights of fireflies in the summer night.
