Girard was one of the most influential textile designers of the mid-20th century. He created hundreds of designs for upholstery and drapery fabrics, developing a style with color, texture and pattern influenced by folk art and op art (abstract art that uses optical illusion). Here he arranged triangles to suggest the movement of falling rain. ? #CurrentMood
