Photograph by @クリス・バーカード // Our casual nine-mile hike to Neon Cathedral slowly turned into a 16-mile trek and went through the night, as finding our route proved difficult. Neon Cathedral is located in the Canyons of the Escalante in Utah’s Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. We finally arrived just before sunset and after a short nap found ourselves in awe of the giant rock formation. By the next day, the sun was reflecting off the small pool of water at the cathedral base, sending magnificent patterns onto the canyon walls. I'd never seen it photographed like this before, and we all couldn’t help but sit and gaze for a moment.
