The phrase joked about among the locals here in Pensacola is, "I live where you vacation." I can't say I disagree with that in any way. The beauty that the coast brings is unmatched. I've grown up here but often wander off and explore elsewhere. Nothing comes close to the sense of refreshment I get when I come back home and stick my toes in the sand, sit, and listen to the waves crash and seagulls cry. Being a certified scuba diver, this city is perfect for me. I love to dive the reefs and shipwrecks that are just out of view from the shoreline. Salt water is a part of life for me and being here in Pensacola allows me to live and breathe it.
